The Kerry Magazine

The Kerry Magazine is an annual publication of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society. It was first published in 1989, when it was primarily intended as a newsletter to keep members abreast of activities within the Society.

This has grown over the years into a much-respected stand-alone publication, which provides a platform for both academics and non-academics to publish short articles, pertaining not only to archaeology and history but also to the wider culture and heritage of the County.

Articles submitted for consideration for publication by the editorial sub-committee of The Kerry Magazine, should be submitted by May 31 of any given year. We welcome short articles (maximum 2500 words, including endnotes) related to any aspect of Kerry’s rich and diverse culture and heritage. Contributors are also required to submit up to five (5) appropriate illustrations, and a brief biographical note (50 words) for publication in our Contributors’ List.
