Dr. McAuliffe is an Assistant Professor in Gender Studies at UCD, in this upcoming webinar she will examine in detail the important roles women played, as well as the trials they bravely experienced in County Kerry during the War of Independence and the Civil War 1919-1923. Dr. McAuliffe is a specialist in this study area and has published various books and articles on this topic. The upcoming webinar promises to shine light on this vivid and turbulent period in Irish history, an era in which women played a vital role.
