In this webinar Senator Mark Daly examines in detail the Headford Ambush, which took place on the 21st of March 1921. This promises to be a stimulating discussion, aided with fascinating contemporary photographs, this momentous event has been brought back to life.

Senator Daly is the current Cathoirleach of Seanad Eireann and the first Kerryman to hold this esteemed role. This webinar marks the centenary of this monumental event in our local and regional history. Senator Daly will also consider the significance of the ambush in terms of the War of Independence at a national level.
