The Kerry Archaeological & Historical Society organises a series of lectures during the winter and a number of outings during the summer in co-operation with other Bodies, Institutions and organisations interested in the language, literature and history of the County.

...on Thursday, February 27, for a lecture entitled 'George Hewson of Ennismore: The Prince Farmer of North Kerry', which will be delivered by Thomas Dillon (Historian), in Kerry Writers' Museum, Listowel, at 7.30pm.


The Annual General Meeting of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society will take place on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, in Tralee Library, at 7.30pm. The following positions will become vacant at the AGM:

  • President
  • Council Member

Nominations are invited for both positions. Please submit in writing to the Hon. Secretary, Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society at by close of business on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
